Cisco Layoffs - 4,000+ Workers

August 9th, 2024

The tech world is in turmoil, and Cisco just added fuel to the fire by laying off over 4,000 employees. This move comes hot on the heels of Intel’s 15,000 job cuts earlier this month. What’s the deal?

It’s all being chalked up to high-level automation and AI restructuring. Companies are reconfiguring their workforce, supposedly to streamline operations and boost efficiency.

But let’s not sugarcoat it—this is survival mode for these tech giants, and the impact is brutal.

Cisco’s second round of layoffs this year is a clear signal that the industry is going through some serious changes. The old ways of doing business are being torn down, and in their place? A future dominated by AI and automation. But this raises big questions: Are these layoffs really about cutting fat, or are they signs of deeper struggles within these companies?

For those caught in the crossfire, it’s a gut punch.

Imagine being part of a team one day and then suddenly out of a job, all in the name of progress. And what’s next?

If you’ve been hit by these layoffs, you’re not alone.

The tech industry is becoming increasingly ruthless, and nobody’s safe from the shake-ups.

This isn’t just a one-off event. We’re likely going to see more of these “restructurings” in Tech and every industry as companies pivot toward AI and automation.

The landscape is shifting fast, and those who can’t adapt might find themselves on the chopping block.
